iPoint-systems acquires Austrian compliance specialists KERP

Reutlingen, 30 November 2010 – iPoint-systems is growing: the company KERP, based in Vienna, has become a member of the iPoint group. The Austrian company is specialized in the development and implementation of software for product life cycle management: environmentally sound, from product design, through supply chain management and recycling. The focus of the KERP solutions is the Life Cycle Assessment (eco-balance) and the fulfilment of the RRR requirements (EU Directive on type approval of motor vehicles with regard to their reusability, recyclability and recoverability). In order to determine the manufacturers and suppliers carbon footprint (CO2 emissions) of your products and processes and locate opportunities for CO2 reduction. In addition, KERP advises on issues of environmental law and legislative requirements for norms, and end-of-life

management of electronic waste (collection, treatment and reuse / recycling).

The KERP-solutions will be integrated into the iPoint Compliance Agent. It supports, simplifies and automates the internal data collection and maintenance and manages the submission to external systems of organizations, customers and legislators. The Compliance Agent comprises of the ELV (End-of-Life Vehicle), REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals), RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), RRR (Reusability, Recyclability and Recoverability), the LCA

(Life-Cycle-Assessment) and DfE (Design for Environment) modules.
