Conflict Minerals Regulation Signed into EU Law

Today, the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and the President of the European Parliament, Antonio Tajani, signed the legal text of the EU’s Conflict Minerals regulation into law. The text is expected to be published in the Official Journal of the EU at the end of May. The regulation will enter into application on January 1, 2021.

The European Commission encourages all affected companies to start carrying out due diligence on their supply chains for tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold well before this date.
