Reutlingen, October 29, 2013 – The software and consulting company iPoint-systems is increasing its presence in the Asian market by establishing subsidiaries in Shanghai and Tokyo. With this, the IT specialist is continuing its global growth course – it was only in spring that iPoint opened a new subsidiary in Michigan, USA.
The establishment of “iPoint Software and Information Technology (Shanghai) Ltd.” is in line with iPoint’s activities in the Chinese market. The company maintains good relations with the research institute China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC), the administrative organization of the Chinese automotive industry. The two partners signed a cooperative agreement in the middle of this year; a visit of a CATARC delegation to the iPoint headquarters in Reutlingen is scheduled for this year. The Shanghai subsidiary focuses on service, consulting and training for customers on site. The first services offered by the Chinese subsidiary include first-level support for the iPoint Conflict Minerals Platform.
First-level support as well as training courses on this subject are also part of the service portfolio of “iPoint Japan Co Ltd”. Another main focus of the new subsidiary will be the distribution of further iPoint products. Moreover, iPoint is collaborating with an experienced and renowned Japanese distribution partner, who will be marketing the iPoint solutions on site. Furthermore, iPoint has already been in touch with associations of the electronics and automotive industry.
