Christmas donations instead of presents

iPoint-systems supports charities in Germany and the U.S. with 5,000 Euros

Reutlingen, December 18th, 2014 – iPoint-systems already has a long-standing tradition of making annual donations at Christmas time. As in the previous years, the software specialist once again supports several charitable organizations suggested by iPoint employees. A total of around 5,000 Euros is going to four organizations: 2,000 Euros each go to Lebenshilfe Reutlingen and the foundation Gib Bildung eine Chance, and 600 U.S. Dollars each go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and March of Dimes in Michigan.

Lebenshilfe Reutlingen is a self-help organization for people with mental handicaps, their parents, friends, and supporters. With 130,000 members, it is a strong nationwide representative of the interests of people with disabilities and their families. Lebenshilfe Reutlingen was established in 1964. The foundation Gib Bildung eine Chance (Give Education a Chance) provides support to schools and, through civil and social engagement, aims to provide children and adolescents a more equal opportunity – irrespective of location and income, gender and background.

Because iPoint-systems also have a branch in Southfield, Michigan, two more donations go to North America. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of America was founded in the USA in 1980 and fulfills the heart’s desires of children with life-threatening illnesses, to give them hope, strength and joy. The donation went to the branch in Michigan. This is also home to the March of Dimes charity, whose mission is to improve the health of new-born babies and especially premature babies, and to support their families.
