From October 17-18, the 7th Congress for Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy of the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg (KONGRESS BW) will take place at the exhibition centre in Karlsruhe, Germany. It is addressed to representatives from politics, academia, business, and industry associations. According to the organizers, about 800 participants are expected. In addition to introductory keynote speeches and plenary sessions with different foci, speakers from industry, academia, and research will share practical knowledge in 15 parallel forums and present solution-oriented innovations in the area of resource efficiency.
We are excited that iPoint CEO Joerg Walden has been invited to attend Forum 10 on “Raw material transparency through digitalization and evaluation of material cycles” with a presentation on Blockchain. The forum is hosted by the Think Tank “Industrial Resource Strategies” (Industrielle Ressourcenstrategien) and will take place on October 18th. The Think Tank – founded by the Council of Ministers of Baden-Wuerttemberg – is a joint initiative of industry and politics with the support of science. The association advises politics and industry on key technological-strategic issues of resource efficiency, resource, use and resource policy.
The ifu Institute for Environmental IT Hamburg (Member of iPoint Group) will also attend the event with a booth in the accompanying exhibition of the event. In addition, on October 18, ifu CEO Jan Hedemann will give a presentation on the topic "MFCA mobile: Mobile recording of operating data, minimizing material losses, determining potential savings" at Forum 8 of the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU).
