Meet iPoint from November 11-13 at Convergence – The Global Blockchain Congress 2019, which will take place at the Trade Fair and Congress Center of Málaga, Spain. The event is hosted by the European Commission, European Blockchain Observatory and Forum, Alastria, and International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA).
The blockchain conference brings together the worldwide blockchain community for an intense dialog with regulators, policy makers, industry influencers, and members of the social impact community. The conference program includes a set of keynotes, presentations, panels, workshops, hackathons, and cultural events.
Also, the INATBA Working Group “Social Impact & Sustainability”, which is co-chaired by iPoint CEO Joerg Walden, will organize two sessions:
Roundtable “Aligning SDGs + Social Impact goals with blockchain technology” In this session, it will be explored how blockchain & DLT are being used to solve real-world business problems to enable greater social and environmental impact, and to achieve the “Leave no one behind” pledge which is undoubtedly a pillar of the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The panel discussion will explore real use cases which are already enabling positive social and environmental impacts. It will also address questions such as: How can we promote social impact initiatives?
Panel “Leave no one behind: How can Blockchain increase positive social and environmental impact?” The panel will focus on the question: How can we leverage blockchain technology to tackle the world’s most pressing social and environmental problems? To answer this question, the INATBA Social Impact & Sustainability working group has started a project to research over 800 blockchain initiatives and map them to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the objective of better understanding the landscape as well as the problems startups, NGOs, enterprises, and governments are tackling.
Furthermore, we’re excited to announce that Joerg Walden has been invited to participate in the main panel „The Future of Sustainability: Techniques for Measuring Social Impact“ on Tuesday, November 12.
