DGCN Anniversary Conference in Berlin

Meet iPoint on September 30 at the Anniversary Conference of the German Global Compact Network (DGCN), whose 2020 motto is "The Decade of Action: Business Leadership in Challenging Times". Even before the global spread of COVID-19, UN Secretary General António Guterres had declared the year 2020 the "Decade of Action" to drive progress in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and accelerate efforts to achieve them by 2030. The social and economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic now causes further challenges. At the DGCN Anniversary Conference, important representatives from business, civil society, science, and politics will discuss the (additional) consequences of the coronavirus pandemic for sustainable business and will present ideas and approaches that could lead to effective progress in central fields of action such as climate change and social inequality.

As a proud signatory of the UN Global Compact we are delighted to participate in the anniversary event in Berlin. On site is Dr. Katie Boehme, iPoint's Head of Corporate Communications & Sustainability, who was elected to the DGCN Steering Committee in October 2019 for the period 2019-2021 as a representative of the business community.
