On February 6 and 7, 2018, the traditional IHS Markit New Year’s Briefing will take place in Frankfurt, Germany. It will provide an early view of 2018 and its key market drivers in economy and automotive.
Day 1 focuses on macro-economic market environments, such as strong growth in the Euro zone, weaknesses in emerging markets as well as the political crisis in the Middle East that create difficult challenges – and opportunities – for every organization worldwide. Transformative technologies, like the Internet of Things (IoT), and their impact on the Automotive industry are also on the agenda.
Day 2 provides a more detailed look at the challenges the automotive industry is facing, especially those challenges resulting from electrification and autonomous driving, the rise of artificial intelligence, and other pioneering technologies.
