The software and consulting company iPoint-systems is increasing its presence in the Nordic market by establishing a new subsidiary in Växjö, Sweden. With this, the world leading supplier of software for environmental product compliance and product-related sustainability analysis is continuing its rapid global growth course.
“The establishment of iPoint-systems AB is in line with iPoint’s activities in the Nordics”, states Ove Jonsson, the Managing Director of iPoint-systems AB. The company already has some large accounts in the area, including large OEMs and suppliers from the automotive, electronics, and industrial automation sector. The new subsidiary in Sweden will help iPoint increase the activities towards Nordic companies and organisations. Initially, the Växjö-based subsidiary will focus mainly on sales and key account management, but the plan is to develop local service, consulting and training for customers in the area. Växjö is among the fastest growing cities in Sweden and there is a large concentration of IT companies as well as a focus on the environment, including a University with IT and Environmental programs.
Joerg Walden, CEO of iPoint-systems gmbh, is convinced of his company’s expansion policy: “The Nordic economy is one of the strongest in Europe, and there are many large organisations and companies that have their headquarters in the Nordic area in Automotive, Electronics and other industries. In terms of sustainability, the Nordic countries are among those leading the way worldwide. By providing our solutions and services on site, we can ideally support our Nordic customers in terms of product compliance and sustainability.”
