We are pleased to announce that iPoint's Product Sustainability software has been awarded a Silver Stevie® Award in the category “Products for Climate Protection” at the German Stevie® Awards 2022. The German Stevie® Awards are a high-profile business award for the German-speaking European business community from Austria, Belgium, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. For this year's 8th German Stevie® Awards, more than 400 applications were received for various categories, which were evaluated by 50 jury members in five panels.
“The award is confirmation of the outstanding performance iPoint Product Sustainability offers companies,” explains Daniel Maier, Head of Marketing at iPoint. “Our software combines years of sustainability expertise with current needs of companies facing the challenge of analyzing the environmental impact of their entire product portfolio. Within a very short period, the software solution makes it possible to collect, analyze, and evaluate all relevant data over the entire life cycle and to provide it for the company. The product thus offers a holistic platform for calculating environmental impacts of all kinds, company- and product-related footprints, and resource efficiency.”
This assessment is also shared by the jury of the German Stevie® Award: “It's great to see all the factors that the software for calculating environmental impacts considers. In the end, this can have a positive effect not only on climate protection, but also on the economic efficiency of the product. A super software, developed on the pulse of time. For many companies, it is now extremely important to find out without much effort where CO2 hotspots are and then reduce them through adapted or new processes. Global companies have already recognized the added value, climate neutrality is a goal for many companies.” With the development of this software, iPoint is moving closer to its vision of being the best partner for fully digitized lifecycles of sustainable products by helping companies create more sustainable products. Well-known manufacturers from the automotive, electrical, and chemical industries rely on iPoint Product Sustainability. These include Ford, Denso, Logitech, Miele, and Dow Chemical.
iPoint Product Sustainability is a web-based life cycle assessment software that enables companies to analyze greenhouse gas emissions from their products and other environmental impacts such as acidification, water consumption or land use, evaluate alternatives and thus ensure continuous improvements. Not only can the environmental impact be calculated for one product, but for the entire product range. This automation that the software provides is made possible by drawing on various internal and external data sources, such as the bill of materials, as well as using existing compliance and ERP data. This results in tremendous time and resource savings for companies. The software provides the basis for calculations and identifies potential savings that can be used to help companies conserve resources and avoid emissions when manufacturing their products. By integrating the environmental assessments into other business processes, products can not only be optimized in terms of their environmental compatibility, but can also be planned and developed sustainably in advance, and alternative materials can be used, for example. This makes a significant contribution to environmental and climate protection.
iPoint Product Sustainability is part of iPoint's product portfolio – the iPoint Suite. The Suite offers solutions for compliance, sustainability, and risk management, covering the entire product lifecycle – from design, production and use to recycling and reuse.
