We are excited to announce that iPoint’s founder and CEO Joerg Walden has been elected to the Board of Directors of the International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA) for a two-year term.
Launched in 2019 with a ceremonial digital signing at the European Commission headquarters by representatives of more than 100 organizations, including iPoint’s Joerg Walden, INATBA offers public and private developers and users of DLT a global forum to interact with regulators and policy makers and bring blockchain technology to the next stage.
„I am very much looking forward to this new role. It will allow me to build on my ongoing commitment to utilizing the vast potential of Blockchain and other DLTs to tackle some of today’s most pressing issues, including climate change, modern slavery, poverty, inequality, food waste, fraud, corruption, and other areas addressed by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals,” says Joerg Walden, who has been serving as a Co-Chair of the INATBA working group “Social Impact & Sustainability” since 2019 and was recently re-elected for a second two-year term.
The new role comes at a perfect time in the career of Joerg Walden, who is stepping down from his operational role as CEO at iPoint at the end of the month in order to turn to new activities in the context of product compliance, sustainability, and social impact, and fully concentrate on innovative technologies for sustainability. He will remain a shareholder of iPoint-systems gmbh and will continue to guide iPoint as a member of iPoint’s advisory board.
