A major German multinational corporation from the mechanical engineering industry trusts and relies on the iPoint Compliance Agent for efficient hazardous substance management. This software forms the backbone of a globally standardized IT process in place at the engineering company, whose job is to identify hazardous materials and manage material approvals – all for the purpose of supporting the company in manufacturing non-toxic products.

This mechanical engineering manufacturer has locations in more than 60 countries and is one of Europe's largest family-owned enterprises. Its portfolio encompasses plant, products, and industry services for the energy, oil & gas, transport and automotive industries.

The iPoint Compliance Agent accesses a central hazardous materials database in which all information of relevance to the materials is stored, including safety data sheets. The Compliance Agent is integrated into the mechanical engineer's own in-house SAP-ERP system, where it optimally supports the compliance demands of the logistics processes.
