From March 3-6, the PDAC Convention 2019 will take place in Toronto. The world's premier international event for the minerals and mining industry is hosted by the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), the leading voice of the mineral exploration and development community whose mission it is to promote a globally responsible, vibrant and sustainable minerals industry. Over 1,000 exhibitors, 3,500 investors and 25,600 attendees from 135 countries are expected to attend more than 550 technical sessions, short courses and networking sessions.
We are excited to announce that Tolga Yaprak, Senior Consultant, Compliance & Social Responsibility at iPoint, will give a presentation on “SustainBlock: Blockchain-based Supply Chain Traceability” at the Responsibly Sourced Minerals Session on March 4. Blockchain is an intensively discussed technology for enabling mineral and metal supply chain traceability, automated and improved due diligence activities. This session will shed light on the advantages and limitations of the application of blockchain technology in the area of supply chain traceability.
