Webinar: Corporate Non-Financial Reporting in Europe

The Non-Financial Reporting Directive of the EU applies to the current 28 member states of the European Union. Across Europe, some 6,500 companies are affected, 1,600 of which are Swedish.

A recently released iPoint-sponsored study conducted by Development International e.V. systematically assesses the 590 highest-revenue Swedish companies’ degree of non-financial transparency and performance for the first reporting year (2017). Based on more than 60 KPIs taken from the reporting frameworks of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), UN Global Compact, and the German Sustainability Codex (DNK), the study evaluates the companies’ efforts in the five required disclosure areas, i.e., environmental, social and employee matters, respect for human rights, as well as anti-corruption and bribery matters. The top five Swedish companies which received the highest transparency scores are: Husqvarna, Dustin Group, Vasakronan AB, Stockholm Exergi (formerly: Fortum Värme Holding samägt med Stockholms stad), and Thule Group.

In this interactive webinar, Dr. Chris Bayer, Principal Investigator at Development International, will present the findings of this study and highlight good practice examples.
