The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has added five more chemicals to the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). The list now contains 247 entries for substances that can harm the environment and health.
The new entries include substances used in cosmetics, cleaning agents, lubricants and the electronics industry. In addition, the entry for tris(4-nonylphenyl, branched and linear) phosphite has been updated to emphasise its endocrine disrupting properties for the environment.
The new entries include:
- 6-[(C10-C13)-alkyl-(branched, unsaturated)-2,5-dioxopyrrolidin-1-yl]hexanoic acid
- O,O,O-triphenylphosphorothioate
- Octamethyltrisiloxane
- Perfluamine
- Reaction mass of: triphenylthiophosphate and tertiary butylated phenyl derivatives
