The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has added another chemical to the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). The list now contains 241 entries for substances that can harm the environment and health.
Bis(α,α-dimethylbenzyl)peroxide, a reprotoxic substance used as a flame retardant and processing aid, has been added. Companies are obliged to inform consumers about the safe use of such substances.
