The Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) has released version 1.01 of the Pilot Reporting Template (PRT), addressing compatibility issues with Excel versions 2019 and earlier. This update ensures that the template functions seamlessly across all Excel versions, providing companies with a reliable tool to report on minerals beyond the scope of the CMRT and EMRT, such as lithium, nickel, and aluminum.
Launched in November 2022, the Pilot Reporting Template (PRT) offers a standardized approach for documenting supply chain data on additional critical minerals. RMI recommends using PRT 1.01 or higher for the Reporting Year to ensure accurate and compliant reporting. The next version of the PRT is expected in the Fall of 2023.
As a reminder, the PRT is intended for minerals not covered by the CMRT and EMRT, with companies continuing to use those templates for 3TG and cobalt/mica reporting.
