Teaching EcoDesign with LCA – From Theory to Practice

Upcoming webinar highlights best practices in sustainability education with Umberto

Following the success of our “Cracking the Code of PCF & LCA” webinar earlier this year, we are pleased to announce the next event in our educational series: Teaching EcoDesign with LCA – From Theory to Practice.

On September 16, 2025, at 4:00 PM CEST, leading experts will share their insights on how Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) can be effectively integrated into EcoDesign education. The session will highlight strategies to reduce carbon and material footprints, essential skills students need for real-world application, and practical examples from the Umberto software that bring theory to life in the classroom.

Our speakers include:

  • Prof. Hendrik Lambrecht, Professor of Industrial Ecology & Quantitative Methods at Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences
  • Maulana Ajie, Sustainability Consultant & LCA Specialist at IPOINT, Adjunct Lecturer in EcoDesign and Material-Energy Flow Analysis at SRH University of Applied Sciences

This 45-minute webinar will demonstrate why Umberto is perfect for teaching LCA and for providing hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for the challenges of sustainable product development.
