The Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) has released version 6.31 of the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT), marking the 27th release and the first update since CMRT 6.3. This version includes minor corrections to the “Declaration,” “Smelter List,” and “Smelter Look-up” tabs, addressing reported issues to enhance accuracy and usability.
Along with the template update, the Smelter Reference List has been revised to reflect the latest smelter data. As with previous versions, CMRT 6.31 is a crucial tool for companies conducting due diligence in compliance with the SEC’s Conflict Minerals Rule.
The next update to the CMRT is expected in Spring 2024, but companies are encouraged to adopt the latest version for up-to-date and accurate conflict minerals reporting in their supply chains. Using the most current version ensures compliance with the SEC’s requirements and helps demonstrate a commitment to responsible sourcing practices.
