Meet iPoint's experts from April 17-19, 2018, in Paris at the 12th Multi-stakeholder Forum on Responsible Mineral Supply Chains. Jointly organised by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR), and the UN Group of Experts on the Democratic Republic of Congo, the 2018 forum focuses on the implementation of the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas (OECD Due Diligence Guidance), and other initiatives to enable responsible mineral production and sourcing.
Specifically, the 12th Forum will bring more than 700 stakeholders together to explore the following themes:
Drivers for responsible sourcing across various minerals;
Alignment of industry programmes;
The OECD portal for supply chain risk information;
Government monitoring of Guidance uptake and promotion;
Company risk mitigation and reporting;
The role of commodity traders and country-level implementation progress in India, Europe and West Africa.
We are excited to announce that iPoint has been invited to present the SustainBlock project funded by the European Partnership for Responsible Minerals (EPRM). The project aims at creating a Blockchain-based system for tracing certain raw materials from conflict-affected and high-risk areas – so-called Conflict Minerals or 3TG – across the entire supply chain via verified, cryptographically secured transactions.
Make sure to stop by the iPoint booth to learn more about how we can assist your company in using cutting edge technologies such as Blockchain for complying with global Conflict Minerals regulations, global Anti-slavery and Anti-human trafficking regulations, and support you with other compliance- and sustainability-related issues - across value creation networks and over the entire life cycle of your products.
