On 17 and 18 October, AIAG's annual Hybrid IMDS & Product Chemical Compliance Conference will take place in Novi, Michigan. The two-day event will focus on topics such as emissions reporting and the "transition of IMDS from material compliance to the circular economy".
In addition to sustainability topics, aspects such as product carbon footprint (PCF), Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), the latest developments on battery legislation and digital products passport and much more will be covered.
In addition, various suppliers and representatives of the heavy equipment industry will have their say. The IMDS Steering Committee will also provide updates on ELV and REACH as well as details on the new IMDS data structure requirements.
We are especially excited that our colleague Bing Xu will give a presentation together with Michael Wursmann on the first day of the conference.
"The automotive industry will be confronted with many new regulations, such as the battery passport, LCA/PCF, CO2 reduction and CSRD reporting. It is becoming more complicated and difficult to manage compliance and sustainability holistically. To simplify and focus our efforts, we will focus on key elements that ensure sustainable sourcing throughout the supply chain and consider design for sustainability in early product development." says Bing Xu.
You will also have the opportunity to meet more colleagues from the US Office at our booth.
