INATBA “Social Impact Working Group” elections 2022

iPoint CEO re-elected co-chair

We are excited to announce that iPoint’s CEO Joerg Walden has been re-elected as co-chair of the working group “Social Impact & Sustainability” (SI&S WG) of the International Association of Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA), which he already served as from 2019 to 2022. In this function, Joerg Walden is joined by Mariana De La Roche from IOTA Foundation.

The Social Impact & Sustainability Working Group (incorporating the Climate Action working group) leverages a wide range of expertise to highlight and utilize the vast potential of Blockchain and other Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs) to tackle some of today’s most pressing issues, including climate change, modern slavery, poverty, inequality, food waste, fraud, corruption, and other areas addressed by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

INATBA aims to promote the use of blockchain technology by developing a predictable, transparent, and trust-based global framework. It offers developers and users of DLTs a global forum to interact with regulators and policy makers and bring blockchain technology to the next stage.

The Social Impact & Sustainability Working Group is the bridge and the link between all of INATBA’s other vertical working groups and the social impact and sustainability issues.
